Make every teammate's AI write in your brand voice, in Claude and ChatGPT
Quick answer
Pull a voice guide out of 3 to 5 pieces of copy your team already likes: traits with a do and a don't each, a word list, and mechanics such as contractions and numerals. Save it as a skill, then give every teammate's Claude or ChatGPT the same copy, so a fix to the guide reaches everyone.
Free plan: no credit card, 1 published page, 10,000 page views a month, and a small Convika bar at the bottom.
On this page
Your support lead's replies from Claude sound warm. The freelancer's landing page copy from ChatGPT sounds like a bank. The founder's posts use exclamation marks nobody else uses. Each AI is doing its best with a prompt like "write it in our brand voice", and none of them knows what that voice is.
The fix has two parts: write the voice down in a form an AI can follow, then give every teammate's AI the same copy of it.
Why "write in our brand voice" doesn't work
An AI with no samples falls back on average marketing copy. Adjectives in a prompt ("friendly but professional") don't fix that, because every company claims them. What an AI can follow is specific: sentence length, "you" or "we", contractions or not, the words you never use, a real sentence that shows each trait.
Write the voice guide in 4 steps
1. Collect 3 to 5 pieces of copy the team likes
Web pages, emails, support replies, posts. Add 1 piece that sounds wrong to you, if you have one: it sharpens every "don't".
2. Measure what the samples do
Count, don't describe: average sentence length, how often they say "you" against "we", contractions, questions, numerals or words, exclamation marks, how sentences open. "Short sentences" means nothing until it says "12 words on average".
3. Name 3 or 4 traits, each with a do and a don't
Write each trait as "this, not that": "Direct, not blunt". Prove it with a sentence quoted from the samples (the do) and the same idea written wrong (the don't). A trait you can't quote a sample for goes.
4. Add the word list and the mechanics
The words you use and the words you avoid, how you name the product and the customer, headline case, the Oxford comma, emoji. Mark what the samples don't settle as "not decided" rather than guessing.
Make the guide a skill
Put it in a SKILL.md so the AI reads it whenever someone asks for copy:
---
name: brand-voice
description: Writes and rewrites copy in our brand voice. Use when someone asks for a page, an email, a post, or a reply, or asks to make a draft sound like us.
---
# Our voice
## Traits
- Direct, not blunt. Do: "Your page is live." Don't: "We are pleased to inform you that your page has been published."
## Words
- Use: page, link, publish. Avoid: solution, seamless, leverage.
## Mechanics
- Sentence case for headings. Numerals. Contractions. No exclamation marks.
## When you rewrite
Keep every fact. Change only wording, order, and length. List the 3 biggest changes and the trait each serves.

Fluxenic's free Brand voice skill, on AI Skill Pod, does steps 2 to 4 for you: it "extracts a voice guide from 3 to 5 sample texts (traits with do and don't pairs, a word list, mechanics) and rewrites a draft in it". Download its SKILL.md, or add it to a team pod so every member's Claude, ChatGPT, or coding agent uses the same one. Fluxenic is the company that runs Convika.
Give every teammate's AI the same guide
A voice guide that lives in 5 copies is 5 voices again by next quarter. How to keep one:
| Your team | Where the guide goes |
|---|---|
| Everyone on Claude Team or Enterprise | Upload the skill and Publish to org. To change it, publish again: Anthropic says "everyone who uses the skill stays on the approved version until the update is approved" |
| Everyone on ChatGPT Business or Enterprise | Add it as a skill and Share it with the workspace |
| Mixed plans, freelancers, or both apps | One remote MCP server every AI connects to: any Claude plan with a custom connector, and ChatGPT Pro, Business, or Enterprise (how) |
| ChatGPT Plus | Not on OpenAI's list of plans for custom MCP servers: add the skill in the ChatGPT desktop app, or paste the guide into a Project, and do it again when it changes |
A freelancer writing for you is the case that breaks built-in sharing: they're on their own account, outside your workspace. Giving a contractor your prompts covers that, and how to take access back.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make ChatGPT write in my brand voice?
Give it the voice written as rules and examples, not adjectives: 3 or 4 traits with a do and a don't each, a word list, and mechanics. On Business or Enterprise, save that as a skill and share it. On Plus or Pro, add the skill in the ChatGPT desktop app, or paste it into a Project's instructions.
How many examples does an AI need to learn a brand voice?
Three to five pieces of copy the team likes is enough to measure sentence length, word choice, and mechanics, and to quote a real sentence for each trait. One sample that sounds wrong helps too.
How do I keep the whole team's AI in the same voice?
Keep one copy of the guide that every AI reads: Publish to org on Claude Team or Enterprise, Share on ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, or a remote MCP server when people use different apps or their own plans.
What's the difference between voice and tone?
Voice stays the same in everything you write. Tone shifts with the reader's situation: the same traits, with less humour and plainer words in an outage notice than in a launch post.
