How to publish a Claude Design website from its standalone HTML export

Quick answer

A design shared from Claude opens only for people signed in to Claude. To publish it, click Export, choose Export as standalone HTML, and upload that one file to Convika as is. Convika turns it into a plain web page, creates a private preview, and publishes to a link anyone opens. The Free plan adds a signup form below the design that keeps entries, 90 days of visit stats, and 1 custom subdomain such as www.yourbrand.com.

Publish your design for free

Free plan: no credit card, 1 published page, 50 form entries a month.

On this page

You built a landing page in Claude Design, and it looks right on the canvas. You want it at an address anyone opens, ideally www.yourbrand.com. You also want a signup form that keeps the emails people leave and a count of visitors. Claude Design exports the whole page as one HTML file. This guide covers getting that file and publishing it on Convika: upload, check the preview, and publish.

What Claude Design gives you, and what it doesn't

Claude Design is one of the templates you start an artifact from. It is available on every Claude plan, Free included, per Anthropic's guide to Claude Design. When your design is ready, the Export button in its upper-right corner offers a .zip, PDF, PowerPoint, Google Slides, standalone HTML, a handoff to Claude Code, and a list of other tools to send it to, including Netlify, Vercel, Wix, and HubSpot.

  • A shared design opens only for people signed in to Claude. Anthropic notes that “Designs start private to you.” Once shared, “Everyone needs a Claude account. People without one can't open a shared artifact, even with the link,” per Anthropic's sharing guide. Setting access to Anyone with the link requires a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan. It does not work on the Free plan. The link stays on claude.ai.
  • The standalone app's public links are ending. The original app at claude.ai/design closes December 14, 2026. Anthropic's migration guide explains that “Public links to projects in the standalone version will no longer work after it closes,”.
  • Export as standalone HTML gives you one file to host. We checked 93 public exports in October 2026. The file holds the page with its fonts, images, and scripts built in, plus a short script that unpacks them when a browser opens it. That is the file to upload.

Publish your Claude Design page in 5 steps

Export the design as standalone HTML

Open your design in Claude. Click Export in the upper-right corner. Choose Export as standalone HTML. Do not choose Download as .zip. You get one .html file. Convika takes one .html or .htm file per page. If you made your project in the standalone app at claude.ai/design, Anthropic's migration guide names one way to download it. Click Share, choose Project HTML, leave Project archive selected, and click Export. That downloads a .zip of the project's files. If your design draws its own signup form, ask Claude to remove it before exporting. That form has nowhere to send entries. Convika adds one that does. This guide covers pages like landing pages and one-pagers. If you built a slide deck, choose Export as PDF or Export as PPTX instead.

Create a free Convika account

Sign up at app.convika.com. The Free plan requires no credit card and includes 1 published page.

Upload the file

Go to your dashboard and click Upload an HTML file. In the Upload a file tab, drop your file or click Choose a file. Upload the file as is. Convika detects a Claude Design export and saves the page inside as a plain web page, with your fonts, images, and scripts in place. The page name comes from the design's title. Click Create my preview. Uploading uses no AI credits.

The box at the top of this page works before you sign up. Drop your file there to get a preview link. Scripts build a Claude Design page, but that preview runs none of them. It shows a note where the design will be. Click Keep this page — free, no card and sign up. The design then shows in your dashboard's preview.

Convika accepts .html and .htm files up to 2 MB. The 2 MB limit also applies to the page once Convika unpacks it, which is usually bigger than the file. In the 93 exports we checked, the page came out at 0.5 to 3.3 times the file's size, and 1.7 times at the median. Every one fit. If yours does not fit, the upload screen says so. See what to do when the export is too large.

Check the private preview

When the screen says “Your preview is ready,” click Open preview. This private link works for 3 minutes, and Open preview gives you a fresh one each time. Nothing is public yet. Check that the page looks as it did in Claude Design, on both your phone and your computer. On the Free plan, Convika places a small Convika bar at the bottom.

Publish

Click Publish page. Under Who can open this page?, choose Public and click Next. The first time you publish, Convika shows Publish free, and under it Publish without the Convika bar, which opens an order for Pro monthly (1 day free with a card, then $12 a month). To publish on Free, click Publish free. Your page is now live at an address like yourpage.convika.page. Anyone opens it without a Claude account. The next 3 sections cover the signup form, your own domain, and visit stats.

Add a signup form that keeps entries

On your page's dashboard screen, select Add a form to my page. Choose your fields: email only; name and email; or name, email, and message. You can also set your button text. For a Claude Design page, Convika puts the form below the design and saves it as a new preview version. Open the preview, send a test entry, and then publish. Test entries from the preview are checked and not saved, keeping your list clean until launch.

Find your collected entries under Forms, with an option for CSV export. The Free plan shows 50 entries a month across forms and keeps the rest for Pro, which has no cap. If you have a page only for collecting emails, see how to make a waitlist landing page.

Connect your own domain

Go to your page's dashboard screen, click Manage domains, and choose Add domain. Enter a hostname such as www.yourbrand.com. Convika shows a CNAME and a TXT record. Add both at your domain's registrar, then click Check status. When the records are found, your domain becomes active and an SSL certificate is issued. DNS usually takes minutes, up to 48 hours.

The automatic setup handles subdomains such as www or go. It does not handle a bare yourbrand.com. If you want the bare domain too, forward it to www at your DNS provider. Free gives you 1 domain. Pro has no limit.

See who visits

Convika counts visits to your published page. It shows where visitors came from: referrers, UTM tags, devices, countries, and clicks on links and buttons. You see how many people arrived and what they clicked, without identifying who visited. The Free plan keeps data from the last 90 days. Read How to see who visits your page to compare this with Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics.

With Convika connected to Claude as a connector, ask in the chat, word for word: “How many people visited my page this week, and where did they come from?” Set up the connection with Letting Claude publish and edit the page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I publish a Claude Design website?

To publish your Claude Design website, click Export in the upper-right corner of the design and select Export as standalone HTML. Then, upload the file to a host. In the Convika dashboard, click Upload an HTML file, drop the file in, and click Create my preview. Check your page, then click Publish page, choose Public, click Next, then, the first time, click Publish free. Convika gives you an address anyone opens without a Claude account.

How do I host a Claude Design website?

You host your website by exporting it as standalone HTML and uploading that file to a host that serves HTML. You can also pick a destination such as Netlify or Vercel in Claude Design's Export menu. Convika Free hosts your page, gives you a form that keeps signups, tracks 90 days of visit stats, and includes 1 custom subdomain. Pages on the Free plan include a small Convika bar.

Can I put a Claude Design website on my own domain?

You can put your page on your own domain by hosting the exported HTML file on a service that supports custom domains. Inside Claude, a shared design stays on a claude.ai link. Convika Free gives you 1 subdomain, such as www.yourbrand.com. You connect it through a CNAME and a TXT record, and Convika issues an SSL certificate for you.

Does the form on my Claude Design page work?

A form drawn in Claude Design does not work on its own, because it has nowhere of yours to send entries. After you upload your file, click Add a form to my page in the Convika dashboard. Convika places a working form below the design. You find your entries under Forms. The Free plan shows 50 entries a month and keeps the rest for Pro.

My Claude Design export is too large. What do I do?

Use fewer fonts and smaller images in your design, export again, and upload the new file. Convika's 2 MB limit applies to the page inside the export once unpacked. The upload screen tells you when the file is over this size. Fonts and images built into the file make it large.

What does the standalone HTML export contain?

The standalone export contains one .html file with your whole page. Anthropic's help center lists the option, and it does not describe the file. In the 93 public exports we checked, the file contains the page's markup, fonts, images, and scripts as encoded data, plus a short script that unpacks them when a browser opens it. Convika unpacks that data on upload, then stores and serves the page as ordinary HTML.

Do visitors need a Claude account to see my page?

Visitors do not need a Claude account to view your page on Convika. On Claude, a design is an artifact, and Anthropic's sharing guide states that everyone needs a Claude account to open a shared artifact. A page published on Convika is an ordinary website that anyone opens.

Public links to your projects stop working when the standalone app at claude.ai/design closes on December 14, 2026. Anthropic says those links will go offline on that date. If people open your design from one of those links, export it as standalone HTML and publish it elsewhere before then.

What does it cost?

Convika offers a Free plan that requires no credit card. The Free plan includes 1 published page, 10,000 pageviews a month, 50 form entries a month shown (entries past that are kept and show on Pro), 1 custom domain, and a small Convika bar. Pro removes the bar and shows every form entry. Pro costs $12 a month.
