How to publish a Claude Design website from its standalone HTML export
Short answer
A design you share from Claude opens only for people signed in to Claude. To publish a Claude Design website, click Export, choose Export as standalone HTML, and upload that one file to Convika as it is. Convika turns it into a plain web page, gives you a private preview, and publishes it to a link anyone can open. The Free plan adds a signup form below the design that keeps entries, 90 days of visit stats, and 1 custom subdomain such as www.yourbrand.com.
Free plan: no credit card, 10 pages, 50 form entries a month.
You built a landing page in Claude Design, and it looks right on the canvas. Now you want it at an address anyone can open, ideally www.yourbrand.com, with a signup form that keeps the emails people leave and a count of who visits. Claude Design exports the whole page as one HTML file. This guide shows how to get that file and publish it on Convika: upload it, check the preview, and publish.
What Claude Design gives you, and what it doesn't
Claude Design is one of the templates you start an artifact from, and it's on every Claude plan, Free included, according to Anthropic's guide to Claude Design. When a design is ready, the Export button in its upper-right corner offers a .zip, PDF, PowerPoint, Google Slides, standalone HTML, a handoff to Claude Code, and a list of other tools to send it to, Netlify, Vercel, Wix, and HubSpot among them.
- A shared design opens only for people signed in to Claude. “Designs start private to you.” Once you share one, “Everyone needs a Claude account. People without one can't open a shared artifact, even with the link,” says Anthropic's sharing guide. Sharing with Anyone with the link is on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise, not Free, and the link stays on claude.ai.
- The standalone app's public links are ending. The original app at claude.ai/design closes on December 14, 2026, and “Public links to projects in the standalone version will no longer work after it closes,” according to Anthropic's migration guide.
- Export as standalone HTML gives you one file to host. In the 93 public exports we checked in October 2026, the file holds the page with its fonts, images, and scripts built in, plus a short script that unpacks them when a browser opens it. That's the file you upload.

Publish your Claude Design page in 5 steps
Export the design as standalone HTML
Open the design in Claude, click Export in the upper-right corner, and choose Export as standalone HTML, not Download as .zip. You get one .html file. In the standalone app at claude.ai/design, click Share, choose Project HTML, and pick the option that downloads one .html file, not Project archive: that one is selected at first and downloads a .zip of the project's files. Convika takes one .html or .htm file per page. If the design draws its own signup form, ask Claude to remove it before you export: that form has nowhere to send entries, and Convika adds one that does. This guide covers pages, such as landing pages and one-pagers; for a slide deck, choose Export as PDF or Export as PPTX instead.
Create a free Convika account
Sign up at app.convika.com. The Free plan needs no credit card and covers 10 pages.
Upload the file
In the dashboard, click Upload an HTML file. On the Upload a file tab, drop the file or click Choose a file, and upload it as it is. Convika sees that it's a Claude Design export and saves the page inside it as a plain web page, with its fonts, images, and scripts in place. The page name comes from the design's title. Click Create my preview. Uploading uses no AI credits.
The box above works before you sign up: drop the file there for a preview link. Scripts build a Claude Design page and that preview runs none, so it shows a note where the design will be. Click Keep this page — free, no card, sign up, and the design shows in your dashboard's preview.
.html and .htm files up to 2 MB work, and the 2 MB limit also applies to the page once Convika unpacks it, which is usually bigger than the file. In the 93 exports we checked, the page came out at 0.5 to 3.3 times the file's size, 1.7 times at the median, and every one fit. If yours doesn't, the upload screen says so; see what to do when the export is too large.
Check the private preview
When you see “Your preview is ready,” click Open preview. The preview link is private and expires in 7 days, so nothing is public yet. Check that the page looks as it did in Claude Design, on your phone as well as your computer. On the Free plan, a small “Powered by Convika” badge sits at the bottom.
Publish
Click Publish, then Publish again in the dialog. The page goes live at an address like yourpage.convika.com, and anyone can open it without a Claude account. The next 3 sections cover the signup form, your own domain, and visit stats.
Add a signup form that keeps entries
On the page's dashboard screen, click Add a form to my page. Pick the fields (email only; name and email; or name, email, and message), and set the button text. On a Claude Design page, Convika puts the form below the design and saves it as a new preview version. Open the preview, send a test entry, then publish. Test entries sent from the preview are checked but not saved, so your list stays clean until launch.
Entries appear under Forms, and you can export them as a CSV. The Free plan stores 50 entries a month across your forms; Pro has no cap. For a page whose only job is collecting emails, see how to make a waitlist landing page.
Connect your own domain
On the page's dashboard screen, click Manage domains, then Add domain, and enter a hostname such as www.yourbrand.com. Convika shows a CNAME record and a TXT record. Add both at the company where you bought the domain, then click Check status. When the records are found, the domain turns active and the SSL certificate is issued for you. DNS changes usually show up within minutes, but can take up to 48 hours.
Automatic setup works with subdomains such as www or go, not a bare yourbrand.com. If you want the bare domain to work too, forward it to www at your DNS provider. The Free plan connects 1 domain; Pro has no limit.
See who visits
Convika counts visits to the published page and shows where they came from: referrers, UTM tags, devices, countries, and clicks on links and buttons, for the last 90 days on Free. You see how many people came and what they clicked, not who they are. How to see who visits your page compares this with Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics.
If you connect Convika to Claude as a connector, you can ask in the chat: “How many people visited my page this week, and where did they come from?” Letting Claude publish and edit the page shows the setup.
Other ways to publish a Claude Design page, compared
| Way | What you do | Visitors need a Claude account | Own domain | Form that keeps entries | Visit stats | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Claude's Share | Click Share, choose Anyone with the link | Yes | No, a claude.ai link | Not described for designs | Not described | Included; link sharing on Pro and above |
| Send to Netlify | Choose Netlify in the Export menu, connect a Netlify account once | No | Yes | Not described in Netlify's Claude Design docs | Web Analytics with top sources, kept for 1 day | Free with 300 credits a month; every project pauses when they run out |
| Send to Vercel | Choose Vercel in the Export menu, connect a Vercel account | No | Yes | No | Web Analytics, 50,000 events a month | Hobby is free for non-commercial use only; Pro $20 a month |
| Convika | Export as standalone HTML, upload the file, check the preview, publish | No | 1 subdomain on Free | Yes, 50 a month on Free, CSV export | Visits, referrers, UTM tags, devices, countries, and clicks for 90 days | Free; Pro $12 a month |
Pick by what the page has to do. To show a draft to someone who uses Claude, Share is enough. If your sites already run on Netlify or Vercel, send the design there; Wix and HubSpot are in the Export menu too. For a page that has to collect signups on your own domain and tell you which sites send visitors, Convika's Free plan covers all 3. Plan limits are compared in more detail in free landing page hosting with a form.
Frequently asked questions
How do I publish a Claude Design website?
Click Export in the design's upper-right corner, choose Export as standalone HTML, and upload the file to a host. On Convika, click Upload an HTML file in the dashboard, drop the file, click Create my preview, check it, and click Publish. The page gets an address anyone can open without a Claude account.
How do I host a Claude Design website?
Export it as standalone HTML and upload that file to a host that serves HTML, or pick a destination such as Netlify or Vercel in Claude Design's Export menu. Convika's Free plan hosts the page and adds a form that keeps signups, 90 days of visit stats, and 1 custom subdomain, with a small “Powered by Convika” badge.
Can I put a Claude Design website on my own domain?
Not from inside Claude: a shared design stays on a claude.ai link. Host the exported HTML somewhere that supports custom domains. On Convika's Free plan, you connect 1 subdomain, such as www.yourbrand.com, by adding a CNAME and a TXT record, and the SSL certificate is issued for you.
Does the form on my Claude Design page work?
Not on its own. A form drawn in Claude Design has nowhere of yours to send entries. After you upload the page, click Add a form to my page in the dashboard. Convika puts a working form below the design, entries appear under Forms, and the Free plan stores 50 entries a month.
My Claude Design export is too large. What do I do?
Convika's 2 MB limit applies to the page inside the export once it's unpacked, and the upload screen tells you when that page is over it. Fonts and images built into the file are what make it large. Use fewer fonts and smaller images in the design, then export it again and upload the new file.
What does the standalone HTML export contain?
One .html file with the whole page in it. Anthropic's help center lists the option but doesn't describe the file. In the 93 public exports we checked, it holds the page's markup, fonts, images, and scripts as encoded data, plus a short script that unpacks them when a browser opens the file. Convika does that unpacking when you upload it, so the page is stored and served as ordinary HTML.
Do visitors need a Claude account to see my page?
On Claude, yes: a design is an artifact, and Anthropic's sharing guide says everyone needs a Claude account to open a shared artifact. A page published on Convika is an ordinary website, so anyone can open it.
What happens to my claude.ai/design links?
The standalone app at claude.ai/design closes on December 14, 2026, and Anthropic says public links to its projects stop working then. If people open your design from one of those links, export it as standalone HTML and publish it somewhere else before then.
What does it cost?
Convika's Free plan needs no card: 10 pages, 10,000 pageviews a month, 50 form entries a month, and 1 custom domain, with a small “Powered by Convika” badge. Pro costs $12 a month after a 14-day free trial and removes the badge and the form cap.
