Is Lovable free? What the Free plan includes in 2026
Quick answer
Yes. Lovable gives you 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month, and publishes to a lovable.app address. Connecting your own domain and hiding the “Edit with Lovable” badge need a paid plan, starting with Pro at $25 a month. For a landing or waitlist page, Convika's Free plan hosts your page on your own subdomain, such as www.
Free plan: no credit card, 1 published page, 1 custom subdomain.

Lovable's FAQ answers in its first line: “Yes. On the Free plan you can build and publish without paying.” Free limits how much you build each day, the address your project goes live on, and the badge it carries there.
The page covers each limit, and what it takes to put a page you made on Lovable on your own domain. Facts come from Lovable's pricing page, docs, and terms, read on October 12, 2026. Prices are in US dollars.
What Lovable's Free plan includes
Here is what you get on Lovable Free and Lovable Pro, taken from Lovable's subscription plans and pricing pages.
| What you get | Lovable Free | Lovable Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | From $25 a month, or $250 a year |
| Build credits | 5 a day, up to 30 a month | 5 a day with no monthly cap, plus 100 a month and up |
| Unused credits | Daily credits expire at the end of the day | Daily credits expire; monthly credits roll over, and you can buy top-ups |
| Publishing | A lovable.app address, open to anyone with the link or only to people you invite | The same, or your own domain |
| Custom domain | No | Yes |
| “Edit with Lovable” badge | Shown on your published site | You can hide it |
| Git sync to GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket | Yes | Yes |
| Edit code in Lovable, or download a .zip | No | Yes |
Free and Pro also include a daily chat allowance. You get 2 monthly grants as well: 20 Cloud credits for the built-in backend, and 4 credits for AI features inside your app.
How far 30 credits go
Lovable's credits docs price each message by the work it does: “Cost depends on the complexity of the request and the work completed.” Lovable shares illustrative examples in the table below.
| What you ask Lovable | Credits used |
|---|---|
| “Make the button gray” | 0.50 |
| “Remove the footer” | 0.90 |
| “Add authentication” | 1.20 |
| “Build a landing page with images” | 2.00 |
At those rates, a day's 5 credits build 2 landing pages and leave 1 credit for changes. Chat messages draw on your daily chat allowance first, then tap your build credits. Each message in Plan mode costs 1 credit.
If you build every day, you hit the monthly cap first. Lovable's own example: “on Free, you receive daily build credits for the first 6 days each month (6 × 5 = 30), then none until the next month starts.” Daily credits refresh at 00:00 UTC and do not roll over. When they run out, “Building stops until credits are available,” and “Your published site stays live, and its pages keep serving.”
Publishing on Lovable's Free plan
Lovable publishes your landing page for free. Its FAQ notes that “publishing to a lovable.app URL is free on all plans,” and its publishing docs state that “By default, your app is published to [url-subdomain].lovable.app.”
- Each publish is a snapshot. “Only the current version is deployed, and later changes are not automatically pushed live.” To put new changes live, click Publish, then Publish changes.
- You choose who can open it. On Free and Pro the default is Public: “Anyone with the URL can visit your published app.” Choose Invite only, and only the people you add can open it after they sign in to Lovable. Publishing to your whole workspace or to groups starts on Business.
- There is no cap on visitors or bandwidth. Lovable's hosting docs state that “Your plan does not cap visitors or bandwidth.” The one limit is on Free: apps created from May 13, 2026 are limited to 1,000 server requests, such as page loads, per project every 10 seconds.
Custom domains need a paid plan
Lovable's custom domain docs state “Custom domains are available on paid plans.” The cheapest option is Lovable Pro, from $25 a month or $250 a year. You can buy a domain directly through Lovable or connect one you already own. It supports a root domain like yourdomain.com, or a subdomain like blog.yourdomain.com.
If you downgrade later, “Connected domains keep serving your published app.” You cannot add more: “After a downgrade to Free, you can't buy domains or connect domains to projects” until you upgrade again.
The Edit with Lovable badge
A published Free page shows an Edit with Lovable badge. Hiding it takes a paid plan. Lovable's FAQ answers “Yes, on paid plans” and puts the switch, Hide Lovable badge, in Project settings → Publishing. Turn it on, and the badge leaves your live page “immediately, with no republish needed.” If you downgrade, the badge comes back on your next publish.
Do you own what you build on Lovable?
Lovable's FAQ says “You do. Your apps, code, and the content you create with Lovable are yours, subject to third-party rights such as open-source licenses. You can modify them, use them commercially, and host them wherever you choose.” Its terms, last updated August 28, 2026, put it this way: “you own your Customer Data, including the applications, websites, or other projects you build using the Services.”
You can take the code with you on the Free plan. Lovable's hosting docs say Git sync to GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket is “available on all plans.” Editing code in Lovable's editor and downloading it as a .zip start on Pro.
Convika for a Lovable landing page on your own domain
Convika hosts landing pages, one HTML page each, with the form and the visitor stats built in. For a landing or waitlist page you built on Lovable, Convika's Free plan includes the 5 things below.
- Your own subdomain. Connect 1 subdomain, such as
www.yourbrand.comorwaitlist.yourbrand.com, on Free with the SSL certificate issued for you. - Commercial use on every plan. You can use Free for commercial work under section 7 of the terms. That covers a client's page you build, host, and bill for.
- A form that keeps the signups. Click Add a form to my page, and Convika adds a form that stores each entry, emails it to you, and exports to CSV. The guide Ways to make a page's form save entries compares it with other form services.
- 90 days of visitor stats. Track visits, referrers, UTM campaigns, devices, countries, and button clicks.
- AI clients that publish for you. Claude, Claude Code, and Codex connect to Convika's MCP server and sign in to your account with OAuth, so you never paste a deploy token or API key into the chat. They can read the page's visits and form entries back to you, too.
3 ways to get the page onto Convika
- Rebuild it from the lovable.app link. Paste the link into the free rebuild tool and click Rebuild my page. No account needed. Convika reads the page, keeps its colors and fonts, writes a new version from its text, and lists what it changed and why. The new page leaves out the “Edit with Lovable” badge. In a test on October 12, 2026, on a waitlist template from Lovable's Discover page (a page Lovable draws entirely with JavaScript), the tool read the page and returned a private preview in about a minute, with 5 changes listed. Click Keep this page to sign up free and move the page into your account, then Add a form to my page, then Publish.
- Describe it in the dashboard. Sign up free, click Create with AI, and describe the page, or paste a link to a page it should start from. A new page costs 1 AI credit on the default model, and Free accounts start with 10.
- Upload one HTML file. If ChatGPT or Claude wrote the page as a single HTML file, click Upload an HTML file in the dashboard and add the
.htmlor.htmfile, up to 2 MB, or paste its code. Uploading uses no AI credits. The free HTML publishing tool shows a preview before you sign up.
Free includes 1 published page, with a small Convika bar at the bottom. Pro removes the bar and shows every form entry. Pro costs $12 a month. The guide How to create a waitlist landing page walks through the form and the tagged links in detail.
Where Lovable fits better: an app with sign-ins, a database, or several screens. Convika hosts one HTML page per site, the rebuild is a new page written from your page's text, colors, and fonts rather than a copy, and custom domains are subdomains such as www.
Lovable and Convika side by side
| Plan | Price | Build allowance | Address | Your own domain | Host's badge | Form that keeps entries | Visitor stats |

| Lovable Pro | From $25 a month | 100 credits a month and up, plus 5 a day | The same, or your own domain | Yes, a root domain or a subdomain | You can hide it | The same as Free | The same as Free |

| Convika Pro | $12 a month, or $108 a year. | 50 AI credits a month on Pro, starting when you subscribe | The same, or your own subdomain | Unlimited subdomains | None | Yes, no monthly cap | Up to all time |
| Framer Free | $0 | 500 AI credits to try | your-site.framer.app | No | “Made in Framer” | Sends entries to email, Google Sheets, or a webhook | Not listed for Free |
Lovable doesn't cap visitors or bandwidth. On Free, Lovable limits apps created from May 13, 2026 to 1,000 server requests per project per 10 seconds. Visitors over that see an “App temporarily unavailable” page. Convika's Free plan includes 10,000 pageviews a month; once your pages reach that in a month, editing and analytics pause, and 7 days later the pages stop until the month ends or you upgrade; Convika emails you at 80% first. In a workspace created before October 23, 2026 (Japan time), this starts on November 1, 2026.

Frequently asked questions
Is Lovable free?
Yes, Lovable has a Free plan where you can build and publish without paying. Your project goes live on a lovable.app address. You get 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month. Connecting your own domain, hiding the “Edit with Lovable” badge, and editing code in the editor require a paid plan, starting at $25 a month for Lovable Pro.
Is Lovable free forever?
Yes, Lovable lists no end date for the Free plan in its docs or pricing page. Usage limits apply instead. You receive 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 credits each calendar month. If you spend 5 credits every day, you hit the cap on day 6 and wait until the 1st of the next month to build again. Your live page stays online while you wait. Lovable may unpublish a project in a Free workspace after 12 months with no visits, no owner login, and no custom domain. It saves your project, so you can publish it again.
How many credits does Lovable's free plan give?
The Free plan gives you 5 build credits a day, up to 30 a month. Daily credits expire at midnight every day. You also receive a daily chat allowance, 20 monthly Cloud credits for the built-in backend, and 4 monthly credits for AI features in your app. In Lovable's sample numbers, changing a button color takes 0.50 credits, and building a landing page with images takes 2.00.
Does Lovable publish websites for free?
Yes, publishing to a lovable.app address is free on every plan. Anyone with the link can visit the page by default. You can set the page to Invite only so only people you add can open it, even on Free. Each publish creates a static snapshot. Future edits appear live only after you click Publish, then Publish changes.
Can I use a custom domain on Lovable's free plan?
No, you cannot connect a custom domain on the Free plan. Lovable's docs say “Custom domains are available on paid plans.” You need Lovable Pro, which starts at $25 a month, to add your domain. If you connect a domain while paying and later downgrade, the domain keeps running, but you cannot connect new domains on Free.
How much does a custom domain cost on Lovable?
A custom domain requires Lovable Pro, which costs $25 a month or $250 a year. Custom domains come with the plan. You pay for the domain registration separately. Buy one through Lovable, or link a domain you already own from an outside registrar.
How do I remove the “Edit with Lovable” badge?
You remove the badge by switching to a paid plan, opening Project settings → Publishing, and switching on Hide Lovable badge. Lovable's FAQ notes that the badge vanishes from your live site at once. You do not need to republish the page. The badge stays visible on Free.
Do I own what I build on Lovable?
Yes, Lovable's FAQ says “You do. Your apps, code, and the content you create with Lovable are yours, subject to third-party rights such as open-source licenses. You can modify them, use them commercially, and host them wherever you choose.” Every tier includes Git sync to GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket, even the Free plan. To edit code inside Lovable or download a .zip file of your project, you must pay for a plan.
Is there a free way to put a Lovable landing page on my own domain?
Yes, you can do this for free with Convika. Paste your lovable.app address into Convika's free rebuild tool without signing up. The tool inspects your page and creates a fresh version with matching fonts and colors inside a private preview. Leave the page on the Free plan, add a form, and link 1 custom subdomain like www.yourbrand.com. Convika's Free tier permits commercial use and tracks 90 days of visitor analytics.
