Is Webflow free? What the Starter plan allows in 2026
Short answer
Yes. Webflow's Starter site plan is free and publishes to a webflow.io address with the “Made in Webflow” badge, 2 static pages, and 50 form submissions in total that never reset, and your own domain starts with Basic at $15 a month, billed yearly. For a landing or waitlist page, Convika's Free plan connects a subdomain of your own domain, such as www, with a form that keeps 50 signups a month, every month, and 90 days of visitor stats.
Free plan: no credit card, 10 pages, 50 form entries a month.
Every new Webflow site starts free. Webflow's help center says “When you create a site, you'll start out with the free Starter Site plan by default.” Its pricing page describes Starter as “For exploring and experimenting with Webflow.” The limits below follow from that: Starter is for building and trying a site, and going live on your own domain is what Webflow charges for.

Can you connect a custom domain on Webflow's Starter plan?
No. Webflow's plan overview says “A paid Site plan applies to an individual website, unlocking the ability to publish to a custom domain.” On Starter, the site lives at an address like yoursite.webflow.io.
The cheapest site plan with a custom domain is Basic: $15 a month, billed yearly, or $25 a month billed monthly. Webflow raised these prices in May 2026; its help center notice reads “Plan price — increases to $15/month (yearly) or $25/month (monthly)”. Site plans are priced per site, so each site on its own domain needs its own plan.
Webflow forms on Starter: 50 submissions, ever
Forms work on Starter, and Webflow keeps the entries. Its help center says “If you've chosen to send a form's submissions to Webflow, you can view and manage them in Site settings > Forms.” and “By default, Webflow sends form notifications to the email address associated with your account.”
The cap is per site and for the life of the site, not per month: “Sites on the free Starter Site plan are limited to 50 total form submissions. This limit doesn't reset.” After that, “Once you hit the limit of 50 form submissions, new form submissions will no longer be collected.” Every paid site plan removes the cap: “Form submissions are unlimited on all other Site plans.”
Pages, visits, and code on Starter
- Pages and visits: “The free Starter Site plan allows your site up to 1,000 monthly visits, 50 CMS items, and 2 static pages, and comes with the ability to publish your site on the .webflow.io subdomain.”
- Your own code: the Code Embed element is for paid plans. Webflow's help center says “If you have a Core, Growth, Agency, or Freelancer Workspace, or if your site has an active Site plan, you can use the Code Embed element to unlock all kinds of custom functionality.” Exporting a site's code takes a paid Workspace plan.
- Visitor stats: Webflow's built-in analytics product, Webflow Analyze, is an add-on: “Analyze is available as an add-on for all customers on Basic, CMS, Business, and Enterprise Site plans.”
- Commercial use: Webflow's terms don't address Starter sites. Its pricing page pitches Starter “For exploring and experimenting with Webflow.”
The “Made in Webflow” badge
Webflow's pricing page lists badge removal as a paid feature: “Remove the "Made in Webflow" badge from the bottom right corner of your published site.” The help center adds “A paid site plan or Growth, Agency, or Enterprise Workspace is required to remove Webflow branding.”
In a check of webflow.io pages on October 12, 2026, loaded without an account, the badge isn't in the page's HTML. On one site, the <html> tag carries data-wf-status="1", and Webflow's script, webflow.js, reads that flag and adds <a class="w-webflow-badge"> with an image labeled “Made in Webflow”. On a page with a contact form, the <form> has no action attribute: webflow.js sends each entry to https://webflow.com/api/v1/form/ followed by the site's ID. That's how entries reach Webflow, where Starter counts them toward its cap.
A year on your own domain: Webflow or Convika
For a waitlist page at www.yourbrand.com that collects signups for 12 months:
- Webflow Basic: $180 for the year at the yearly price, plus the domain. No cap on entries.
- Convika Free: $0, plus the domain. Up to 50 entries a month, and the count starts again each month.
Your own domain and a form that starts fresh each month, free: Convika
Convika hosts landing pages, one HTML page each, with the form and the visitor stats built in. For a launch or waitlist page you might otherwise keep on Webflow's Starter plan, Convika's Free plan includes:
- Your own subdomain, such as
www.yourbrand.comorwaitlist.yourbrand.com, with the SSL certificate issued for you. The Free plan connects 1. - Commercial use on every plan, Free included, under section 7 of the terms. That covers a client's page you build, host, and bill for.
- A form that keeps the signups. Click Add a form to my page, and Convika adds a form that stores each entry, emails it to you, and exports to CSV, up to 50 entries a month on Free.
- 90 days of visitor stats: visits, referrers, UTM campaigns, devices, countries, and button clicks.
- AI clients that publish for you. Claude, Claude Code, and Codex connect to Convika's MCP server and sign in to your account with OAuth, so you never paste a deploy token or API key into the chat. They can read the page's visits and form entries back to you, too.
3 ways to get your page onto Convika
- Rebuild it from its link. Paste the address of the page you have now into the free rebuild tool and click Rebuild my page. You don't need an account. Convika reads the page, keeps its colors and fonts, writes a new version from its text, and lists what it changed and why. Click Keep this page to sign up free and move it into your account.
- Describe it in the dashboard. Sign up free, click Create with AI, and describe the page, or paste a link to a page it should start from. A new page costs 1 AI credit on the default model, and Free accounts start with 10.
- Upload the HTML your AI made. If ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini wrote the page as one HTML file, click Upload an HTML file in the dashboard and add the
.htmlor.htmfile, up to 2 MB, or paste its code. Uploading uses no AI credits. The free HTML publishing tool shows you a preview before you sign up.
The Free plan includes 10 pages, with a small “Powered by Convika” badge. Publish your first page and Pro is free for 14 days, no card needed. After that, Pro costs $12 a month and removes the badge and the monthly cap on form entries, or you go back to Free.

- A page an AI already wrote as HTML: Convika. Upload the file as it is; on Webflow, custom code goes into a Code Embed element on a paid plan.
