UGC Portfolio Website with ChatGPT (Free)
Quick answer
A UGC portfolio is one page with your niche, sample videos, packages, and how to reach you. ChatGPT or Claude can write it as one HTML file, and Convika publishes it free. Send each brand a tagged link and the stats show which brand's link was opened and when (not who opened it).
Free plan: no credit card, 1 published page, 10,000 page views a month, 1 custom domain, and 90 days of analytics.

When you pitch brands in DMs and emails or put a link in your bio, you need one mobile-friendly page that shows your niche, a few sample videos, your packages, and how to reach you. Most creators build a portfolio, send it out, and never know if a brand actually opened it or just ignored the message.
This guide walks through what brands look for in a UGC portfolio, gives you a prompt for ChatGPT or Claude that writes the page as a single HTML file, and shows how to add TikTok and YouTube videos and publish it free as one link. You will also learn how to send each brand its own tagged link to see which pitches were opened and what those stats can't tell you, plus how to update your rates and videos at the same link, use your own domain, and remove the bar.
What to Include in a UGC Portfolio
Guides from JoinBrands ("How to Build a UGC Portfolio That Gets You Hired in 2026") and Influencer Marketing Hub ("UGC Creator Portfolio: How to Build One That Lands Paid Brand Deals") outline what brands look for in a UGC portfolio. JoinBrands notes that a portfolio is not your follower count and that brands on its marketplace are not hiring based on follower counts. Instead, JoinBrands states that video is the highest-priority format for most brands in 2026, while recommending at least one photo sample even if video is your main format.
- A clean intro section explaining who you are and what you do.
- A showcase of high-quality UGC work—such as featured videos and at least one photo UGC sample—with JoinBrands recommending 3–5 pieces and Influencer Marketing Hub suggesting 6–12 examples.
- Performance metrics or context (when possible), along with testimonials.
- A clear services or deliverables section with a simple pathway to services or pricing if offered.
- Visible contact information—such as an email address, a JoinBrands profile link, or both—plus social or platform links.
The two guides differ on how many samples to include: JoinBrands says the best UGC portfolios include three to five pieces of content, whereas Influencer Marketing Hub recommends showcasing 6–12 of your strongest examples. JoinBrands also notes that you do not need a custom website to have a professional portfolio, pointing to Google Drive, Dropbox, a Canva portfolio page, or a JoinBrands profile, while Influencer Marketing Hub names Canva, Copyfolio, Notion, Squarespace, and Wix as places where creators build portfolios.
Build your UGC portfolio website with ChatGPT or Claude
Paste this prompt into ChatGPT or Claude to generate a clean, mobile-first UGC portfolio website in a single HTML file. Fill in the parts in [brackets] with your own details first. Because the HTML file can be at most 2 MB, your sample videos stay hosted on TikTok or YouTube instead of inside the file.
Build a complete, mobile-first UGC creator portfolio website as one HTML file with all CSS and JavaScript included inside it.
About me:
- Name: [Your name]
- Location: [Your city or country, e.g., Singapore / Manila / Austin]
- Niche: [Your niches, e.g., skincare, tech accessories, food & beverage]
- Short intro: [1–2 sentences about who you are and the style of short videos you make for brands]
- Contact email: [your@email.com]
Include these sections in order:
1. Short intro: My name, niche, and a clear headline for brands visiting from my bio link, DM, or email pitch.
2. Sample videos (3 to 6 videos): Use vertical 9:16 video cards. Embed each video using only a TikTok embed player iframe (https://www.tiktok.com/player/v1/{video id}) or a YouTube embed iframe (https://www.youtube.com/embed/{video id}). Never put raw video files inside the HTML:
- Video 1: [TikTok or YouTube video ID] – [Short label, e.g., Skincare unboxing hook]
- Video 2: [TikTok or YouTube video ID] – [Short label, e.g., Café taste test]
- Video 3: [TikTok or YouTube video ID] – [Short label, e.g., App walkthrough]
- [Add up to 3 more videos, or delete if you only have 3]
3. Packages and rates:
- [Package 1, e.g., 1 UGC video (15–30s) with 2 hook variations – your rate]
- [Package 2, e.g., 3 UGC videos bundle – your rate]
- [Package 3, e.g., Monthly retainer or raw footage add-on – your rate or "Ask for custom quote"]
4. Brands I've worked with:
- [List real brands you have created content for, or write "Leave this section out for now" if you are just starting]
5. Contact button: A prominent button that opens an email to me using a mailto: link (mailto:[your@email.com]).
Rules:
- Design for phones first so it looks fast and polished when a brand opens it on mobile, and keep it clean on desktop.
- Do not invent any made-up brands, statistics, metrics, or reviews. Only use the information I gave you.
- Output the entire portfolio as a single, ready-to-save HTML file.
Once the AI finishes, ask for it as an .html file, or copy the whole code and save it on your computer or phone as index.html (keep the file under 2 MB). Open the file in your browser to check how it looks. If you want to adjust anything—like changing the colors, reordering your sections, or swapping in a new video—just reply to the AI in plain words and ask it to update the code.
How do I add TikTok videos to a portfolio website?
Add your sample videos as embeds or links rather than putting video files inside the HTML. An HTML file on Convika can be at most 2 MB, so uploading video files directly won't fit.
- TikTok embed player (
<iframe>): Hosted inside an inline frame usinghttps://www.tiktok.com/player/v1/{video id}, where{video id}is the number at the end of the video's link—for example,<iframe height="300" width="400" src="https://www.tiktok.com/player/v1/6718335390845095173" allow="fullscreen" title="TikTok video"></iframe>. In our test, this showed the video with its play button. - TikTok Share > Embed code (
<blockquote class="tiktok-embed">plus<script async src="https://www.tiktok.com/embed.js"></script>): Found on tiktok.com from a computer's browser by opening the video and clicking the Share button, then Embed. In our test, this left an empty space because its script calls TikTok's servers from the page, which a Convika page doesn't allow. - YouTube embed (
<iframe>): Uses the addresshttps://www.youtube.com/embed/{video id}. In our test, the YouTube embed<iframe>showed on the page too.
We tested three ways to embed videos on October 19, 2026, using headless Chromium at phone width with the same page rules a Free plan Convika page gets. For TikTok on a Convika page, use the embed player <iframe>, and check on your phone after publishing to make sure every video plays.
How to publish your UGC portfolio as one link in 4 steps
No account or credit card is needed to get your preview link. The free plan includes 1 published page, 10,000 page views a month, and 1 custom domain.
1. Drop your file or paste your code in the box
In the upload box, use Upload a file to drop your .html or .htm portfolio file (up to 2 MB), or switch to Paste code and paste the HTML code directly. Click Get my preview link—no account or email is needed. Your preview link works for 3 minutes, though scripts and forms are turned off in the preview.
2. Keep the page and check that your videos play
Click Keep this page — free, no card and sign up. Your portfolio moves into your account exactly as you uploaded it, and its scripts now run—so open it on your phone and check that your sample videos play smoothly and your layout looks great.
3. Publish your portfolio
On the page's screen, click Publish. In the dialog, choose Public (free) if you want your portfolio to show up in Google search results—it may also appear in Convika's gallery—or Private link (Pro or pass) if only the brands you pitch should see it—anyone with the link or anyone they forward it to can open it without a password, while search engines keep it out of their results. You can always change this later in Site settings.
4. Copy the link for your bio, DMs, and emails
Your portfolio goes live at an address like yourpage.convika.page, which stays the same until you click Unpublish. Free includes 10,000 page views a month across all your pages. Click Copy next to the Live URL and paste the link into your social bio, brand DMs, and pitch emails.
See which brands opened your pitch link
Convika never shows who a visitor was (no name, no email, no account), so you won't see a list of people's names. Instead, you can see whether a specific brand opened your portfolio by giving each pitch its own tagged link.
Before you send a DM or email, add ?utm_source= and the brand's name to the end of your URL, like https://yourpage.convika.page/?utm_source=brand-a&utm_medium=dm (if your link already has a ?, add &utm_source=... instead). When you paste your link into a chat, link-preview fetchers whose name contains bot, facebookexternalhit, or whatsapp are never counted as visits, and Filter bots is on by default.
| Where you send it | The link |
|---|---|
| Brand A, in an Instagram DM | https://yourpage.convika.page/?utm_source=brand-a&utm_medium=dm |
| Brand B, by email | https://yourpage.convika.page/?utm_source=brand-b&utm_medium=email |
| A creator marketplace profile | https://yourpage.convika.page/?utm_source=marketplace&utm_medium=profile |
In your page's analytics, check the Campaigns (UTM) card. It shows the visitors, pageviews, form submissions, and CTA clicks for each utm_source (or switch between Source, Medium, and Campaign) over the period you pick—up to the last 90 days on the Free plan, or 180 days, 365 days, and all time on Pro. Visits from your bio link or without a tag show as Not tagged. You can see which days a brand's link was opened and whether someone clicked a button such as Email me (listed under Top CTAs by its text, and counted toward the tag in the URL of the page where it happened). Keep in mind that the tag tracks the link itself, not a specific person: if your contact forwards the link to a teammate, or if you open the tagged link yourself to test it, those visits count under the same tag.
What the stats can't tell you
Analytics track visits to a tagged link, not people. Convika never shows a viewer's name, email, or account, so you won't know who opened your portfolio or whether it was the specific person you pitched. If that contact forwards your link to a colleague, both of their visits count under the same utm_source tag.
Your own visits count too, so opening a tagged link to test it will add to that brand's numbers. On the other hand, link-preview bots—like the fetchers that generate a preview card when you paste a link into Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp—are filtered out by default and aren't counted as visits.
Update your portfolio without breaking your bio link
When you shoot better sample videos or raise your package rates, you don't need to send brands a new URL or update the link in your bio. On the page's screen, under New version from a file, drop your updated file and click Upload as a new version ("It becomes the next version of this page, at the same link.").
Open the preview to check how the new layout looks on a phone, then click Publish v2 at the same link. Until you publish, brands opening your old DMs or email pitches keep seeing your live version. The Free plan keeps 10 versions of a page, and Pro keeps 50.
Using your own domain and removing the branding bar
When you pitch a brand in a DM or email, a custom domain like www.yourname.com looks cleaner than a shared subdomain. On Canva Free, you can publish up to five live websites on a .canva.site address, with a "Designed with Canva" footer that can't be removed without upgrading to Canva Pro (Canva Pro, Canva Teams, and Canva Business users can also connect up to five existing domains at a time). On Convika Free, you can connect one custom domain you already own for free while keeping the Convika bar at the bottom, or upgrade to Convika Pro ($12 a month) to remove the bar.
| Canva Free | Convika Free | Convika Pro | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | $0 | $0 | $12 a month |
| Address | A .canva.site address, up to 5 live sites | yourpage.convika.page, 1 published page | yourpage.convika.page |
| A domain you already own | Not on Free (Canva Pro, Teams, or Business connect up to 5) | 1 | Yes |
| Footer or bar | "Designed with Canva", can't be removed on Free | A small Convika bar at the bottom | None |
| Which tagged link was opened | Not compared here | Campaigns (UTM), last 90 days | Campaigns (UTM), up to all time |
To connect a domain on Convika, open Domains on your page's screen, click Add domain, and type a host name like www.yourname.com. Then copy the CNAME and TXT records it shows into the settings at the company where you bought your domain, and your certificate is issued automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make a UGC portfolio for free?
Yes — you can publish an HTML portfolio page for free with no credit card on Convika, or build one on Canva Free or in a Google Drive or Dropbox folder. On Convika, drop your .html file into the upload box or paste the code, click Get my preview link, then click Keep this page — free, no card and Publish to get a live yourpage.convika.page address. Convika's Free plan includes 1 published page, 10,000 page views a month, 1 custom domain, and a small Convika bar at the bottom, while Canva Free allows up to five live .canva.site websites with a "Designed with Canva" footer.
Can I see who viewed my UGC portfolio?
You cannot see a viewer's name or email, or tell whether the person you messaged opened it themselves or forwarded it to a colleague, though you can see whether a specific brand's link was opened. Before you send your portfolio, add ?utm_source=brand-a&utm_medium=dm to the end of your yourpage.convika.page link (using a different tag for each brand). In your page's analytics, the Campaigns (UTM) card shows visitors, pageviews, form submissions, and CTA clicks like Email me for each tag over the last 90 days on the Free plan (and longer periods on Pro). Note that any visits from you or colleagues the brand forwards the link to will also count under that same tag.
Canva or a website for a UGC portfolio?
Both work for a UGC portfolio, and the choice comes down to how you build it, custom domains, and link tracking. Canva Free lets you publish up to five .canva.site websites with a "Designed with Canva" footer, while connecting your own domain requires Canva Pro, Canva Teams, or Canva Business (up to five existing domains) and Canva Pro removes the footer. With an HTML page on Convika's Free plan, you get 1 published page, 10,000 monthly page views, 1 custom domain, and UTM campaign tracking for the last 90 days with a bottom Convika bar (which Convika Pro removes for $12 a month or $108 a year). Influencer Marketing Hub also names Copyfolio, Notion, Squarespace, and Wix as places where creators build portfolios.
How do I add TikTok videos to a portfolio website?
Use TikTok's embed player <iframe> (https://www.tiktok.com/player/v1/{video id}, using the number at the end of the video link) rather than uploading video files directly into your HTML, which is capped at 2 MB on Convika. For example, add <iframe height="300" width="400" src="https://www.tiktok.com/player/v1/6718335390845095173" allow="fullscreen" title="TikTok video"></iframe> to your code; YouTube embed iframes (https://www.youtube.com/embed/{video id}) work too. Avoid TikTok's standard Share > Embed code (<blockquote class="tiktok-embed"> plus embed.js) on a Convika page, because its script calls TikTok's servers from the page, which Convika pages do not allow and which leaves an empty space in Convika's test. Scripts are off in the temporary 3-minute preview, so publish the page and check the videos on your phone.
Do I need a website as a UGC creator?
No — JoinBrands notes that you do not need a custom website to have a professional portfolio and lists Google Drive, Dropbox, a Canva portfolio page, or a JoinBrands profile as options. What matters is showing brands your work and how to reach you: Influencer Marketing Hub recommends a clean intro, sample work, performance metrics or context when possible, clear services or deliverables, and visible contact info. Industry guides differ on how many samples to include—JoinBrands recommends 3–5 pieces of content (with video as the highest priority and at least one photo), while Influencer Marketing Hub suggests 6–12 of your strongest examples. If you want a single link that loads on a phone and tracks which brand links get opened, you can upload an HTML portfolio to Convika for free.
Can I use my own domain for free?
Yes — Convika's Free plan lets you connect 1 custom domain (such as www.yourname.com that you already own) with no credit card required. On your page's screen in Convika, open Domains, click Add domain, type your host name, and add the CNAME and TXT records shown at the company where you bought the domain; the certificate is issued automatically. Free pages keep a small Convika bar at the bottom unless you upgrade to Pro ($12 a month or $108 a year). On Canva, connecting your own domain requires Canva Pro, Canva Teams, or Canva Business, which support up to five existing domains at a time.
Will my portfolio show up on Google?
Not if you choose Private link (Pro or pass) when you click Publish: Convika then tells search engines to keep the page out of their results, and anyone who has the link can still open your portfolio without a password or account, including colleagues a brand forwards it to. Public, the free choice, lets search engines list your portfolio, and it may also appear in Convika's gallery. You can also choose Only people with the password, or click Unpublish at any time to take the live link down.
