AI templates: make a quiz, game, or tool from an example
On this page
Convika's AI templates build a page from a working example. Pick a class quiz, game, personality test, timer, event page, or shop menu, say in a line what yours should be, and the AI makes yours in the example's format, as a link to send. Try one without an account, or use the example as is for free.
You don't write a long prompt. One of the memory match's ideas is "Countries and capitals": the AI keeps the card-flipping game and makes its pairs from that line. Ask the reaction time test for "A soccer penalty kick", and in Convika's own test it came back as a reaction test called Penalty Kick. This post lists the 14 templates on convika.com/templates, how to try one with no account, how to make and publish one in the dashboard, what it costs, and what to check before you send the link.
What a Convika template is
A template is an example page plus a description of what makes its format. Each template's example is a finished page you can play on the template's page with Try the example. When you make your own, Convika's AI gets three things: the example's code, that description, and your line. It keeps the example's mechanics, screens, tone, and look, and changes the content to fit what you asked for: the theme, the words, the number of questions, the colors, the title.
So there is one thing to write, in a box called What should yours be?:
- Say what to change: the subject, how many, the colors, the theme. "Spanish verbs, 20 cards" or "4 teams, US state capitals" is enough.
- Tap an idea instead: each template shows a few Ideas to start from, and a tap puts that line in the box.
- Leave it empty: you get the same format on a new theme the AI picks.
Starting from an example is what makes this different from describing a page from scratch. A game keeps the example's sound effects, best score, and results screen. The class team quiz keeps its live team scores. You change the content in one line and keep what the example already gets right on a phone.
On October 21, 2026, Convika ran every template once, each with a request unlike its example, some in English and some in Japanese. Every page came back working at a 390 px phone width in Chromium, with no errors and no sideways scrolling. That was an emulated phone, not a real device, so open your page on your own phone before you send it.
The templates, by category
convika.com lists 14 templates in English. Each name links to its page, where you can play the example, try your own, and copy the prompt.

Every template in the table also offers Use the example as is, covered below. In the dashboard you see the same templates, plus any that exist only in Japanese, marked In Japanese: those make their page in Japanese.
Some templates have their own guide with more ideas: a personality quiz you share as a link, a reaction time test, a quiz or game for class, a science simulation for class, and a holiday trivia quiz.
Try a template without an account
Open a template's page, such as the Reaction time test. Write your line under What should yours be?, or tap an idea, and press the make button under the box. Convika's AI makes your version while the page waits, then gives you a button that opens it in a new tab, so you can play it on your phone right away. You don't need an account.
What you make is a preview that works for a few minutes. To keep it, press Publish and send it to friends. You sign up free, the page moves into your account, and you publish it there as a link to send.
Pages made without an account have a daily limit for each network, and one across Convika. Past either, the box offers to sign up free and keep going in the dashboard.
Make one in the dashboard and publish it
Making it in the dashboard lets you ask for changes, publish when it's right, and later see how many people opened it.
1. Open "Create with AI"
In the sidebar, click Create with AI. The screen asks What do you want to make? Under the ways to start, From a template lists the templates by category.
2. Pick a template
Find the template under its category, such as Games or Class and learning, and click its card. Its screen shows the example and the box you write in.
3. Say what yours should be
Under What should yours be?, write what to change, or tap one of the Ideas to start from. If no template fits, Write your own description instead lets you describe the page in your own words.
4. Make the preview
Click Make it with AI. The button shows the cost, and the line under it shows how many credits you have left. While the AI works, the screen says Building your preview. When it's done, it says Your private preview is ready. Nobody else can see it yet.
5. Check it and ask for changes
Click Open preview and try the page. To change something, write it under What to change on this page, such as "change the answer to question 3" or "make the card text bigger", and click Send change.
6. Publish and copy the link
Click Publish my page, check who can open the page in the dialog, and publish. If Convika asks how to publish, Free puts the page live for $0, with a Convika banner at the bottom. Then Copy link gives you the address to post on X, send in a group chat, or share with a class, and See visits and submissions shows how many times it was opened.
Use the example as is
Every template has a quieter link under the make button: Use the example as is. It copies the example page, exactly as it is, into a page of your own. No AI runs, and no credits are used. In the dashboard it reads Use the example as is (free) and takes you straight to the new page's screen, where you open the preview and publish. On a template's page on convika.com, it works without an account too, as a preview you keep by signing up.
Pick it when the example already does the job: the stack tower for a party, or the shop menu to see the layout before you write your own. Make it with AI when the content has to be yours: your questions, your pairs, your menu.
Use the prompt in ChatGPT or Claude instead
Each template's page also shows the prompt Convika's AI gets, under Use these instructions with ChatGPT or Claude. Press Copy, write what you want on the last line, "What I want: ___", and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI. It asks for one HTML file with the CSS and JavaScript inside, made to work on a phone held upright.
To turn that file into a link, drop it into the free publish an HTML file tool. The guides on publishing a ChatGPT HTML file and publishing an AI-made game cover what changes when the file comes from another AI.
What it costs
| What you do | What it costs |
|---|---|
| Try a template on its page on convika.com | Free, no account (a preview that works for a few minutes) |
| Use the example as is | Free, no AI credits |
| Make a page with AI | 1 AI credit |
| Ask the AI for a change | 1 AI credit per change |
| Publish on the Free plan | Free, no credits |
A new account starts with 10 AI credits, enough to try several templates and ask for changes before you pay anything. If a run fails, your credits are returned. Uploading an HTML file uses no credits either.
A page published on the Free plan carries a Convika banner at the bottom. Free includes 10,000 page views a month, across all your pages. The pricing page has what each plan includes.
What a template won't do
A template sets the shape. The AI writes the content, and it can still get details wrong:
- Facts and answers. The quiz battle's AI is told to leave out questions it isn't sure of, and the science simulation's to use only correct formulas. Both can still make mistakes, so check the answers and try a few slider values before class.
- Names, prices, and dates. The event page is asked to add no price, capacity, or speaker you didn't give, and the shop menu to use your items and prices exactly as written. In Convika's own test, the food truck menu still came back with a truck name the request never gave. Read the preview before you publish.
- One thing per page. The timer, calculator, or tracker template makes one of the three. Ask for the second one as a change once the first is made.
- No bookings or orders. The shop menu has no booking or order form. For that, start From a description instead and ask for something like "a page for my shop with a booking form".
Where the data goes depends on the template. The class team quiz and the flashcards use no student names or logins, and keep scores and progress only in the browser they run in. The reaction time test and the stack tower keep a player's best only in that player's browser. The tool keeps what you enter in your browser, and a tracker can also save it as a CSV file. Of these, only the event page collects entries: sign-ups go to that page's form submissions in your Convika dashboard.
If you made a game in Claude that saves scores with Claude's storage, read how Claude artifact storage works on a published link.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a personality quiz with ChatGPT that I can share with a link?
Open the Personality test template, copy its prompt, write your theme on the last line, and paste it into ChatGPT. Then publish the HTML file it writes with the free publish an HTML file tool. Or skip ChatGPT: write the theme in the template's box and Convika's AI makes the test for you. The personality quiz guide walks through both.
How do I make my own reaction time test and share it?
On the Reaction time test page, write a theme such as "A rocket launch signal" and press the make button. You get your own version to try on your phone. Sign up free to keep it, then publish it as a link. The reaction time test guide has more ideas.
How can students play a quiz I made with ChatGPT on Chromebooks without logging in?
Publish it as a link: students open it in the browser with no account. The class team quiz and the flashcards use no student names or logins, and the flashcards page says it works on Chromebooks, iPads, and phones. The guide to sharing a quiz with students covers the link and a QR code for the class.
Can I try a Convika template without signing up?
Yes. On any template's page on convika.com, write what yours should be and press the make button. You get a preview that works for a few minutes. To keep it and publish it as a link, sign up free.
Is Convika's AI template free? How many AI credits does a page use?
Making a page uses 1 AI credit, and each change you ask for uses 1. A new account starts with 10 credits, and publishing on the Free plan costs nothing. Use the example as is, and no credits are used at all.
What does "Use the example as is" do?
It copies the template's example page into a page of your own, exactly as it is. No AI runs and no credits are used. Every template in the list has it.
Can I edit the page after it's made?
Yes. Look at the preview and ask the AI for a change in plain words, such as "add a slider for the mass". Each change uses 1 AI credit. If you edit the HTML yourself, upload the new file on that page's screen in Sites, and the page keeps its link.
Do I need ChatGPT or Claude to use a template?
No. Convika's own AI makes the page from the template. Each template's prompt is there for people who would rather use ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI.
